How to Find and Restore an Archived Secrets AI Conversation
To restore an archived Secrets AI conversation, open User Settings, expand Archived Chats, find the thread and select Unarchive. It should return to Messages. First expand the companion's group there: a collapsed group can hide an active thread. This restores list placement, not deleted messages or permission to send in a paused chat.
Before starting: account, privacy and payment checks
Use your existing account on a private screen. This adult-focused guide assumes you can already sign in; it does not establish eligibility, subscription access or recovery of a lost login.
Privately note the companion, approximate thread name and one nonsensitive detail you remember. Check that you are in the intended account without signing out. If uncertain, pause rather than changing email, reconnecting a sign-in provider or creating a replacement account.
Do not upload your transcript to a recovery tool or post screenshots publicly. Archiving is a list-management action, not evidence of erasure or confidentiality. Reopening a conversation may expose its contents to anyone watching your screen.
The archive instructions give no price or plan requirement. That omission does not prove free access or your entitlement. Do not upgrade to investigate a missing control. Stop at an unexpected payment prompt; clarify any charge, renewal and cancellation terms with the provider before a separate purchase.
1. Check the companion group in Messages
Open Messages and expand the intended companion's group, then inspect its individual threads. Expected outcome: you find the active conversation or establish that it is not in that expanded group.
The official Multiple Chats guide explains this grouping and says each thread has its own message history. The same companion's name therefore does not identify the transcript you want. Select the relevant thread and compare its existing turns with your private note.
If it is already there, skip the archive steps and continue with the transcript check below. Do not unarchive an unrelated conversation merely because its companion matches. Shared continuity between chats is not a substitute for locating the original thread.
2. Locate the conversation in Archived Chats
If the intended thread is absent from the active group, open User Settings and expand Archived Chats. Expected outcome: a matching archived entry, or a clear record that none is visible.
Compare the available identifying information with your private note before acting. The User Settings instructions place restoration in this section; they do not describe searching through message-editing controls. If your interface lacks the section, stop rather than guessing another menu.
An empty list does not tell you why a chat is missing. Do not assume deletion, change accounts repeatedly or alter unrelated preferences to make an entry appear. Record the observation and use the support route below.
3. Use the actual Unarchive action
Select Unarchive beside the matching conversation. The documentation describes a box with an arrow icon. Expected outcome: that conversation returns to the main Messages list.
Use the action once, then return to Messages and expand the companion's group again. Although the provider describes immediate reappearance, treat a missing result as unresolved, not permission to keep changing settings. Record any error text without exposing private content.
Do not substitute a clock, trash, edit or reset control. An unfamiliar icon is a reason to check its label or stop, not an invitation to experiment on the only copy of a conversation.
4. Inspect the original transcript before sending
Open the returned thread and read existing turns around the point you remember. Expected outcome: the intended conversation is identifiable and its visible history can be inspected without generating a reply.
Check more than the latest line: compare the thread identity and a recognizable earlier exchange. A plausible new answer from the companion cannot prove old messages returned. If history is shorter than expected, note the gap without asking the AI to reconstruct it as evidence.
Leave the thread, select it again from Messages and check that you can still open the same conversation. This is an editorial verification suggestion, not a tested persistence guarantee. Do not describe a partial or ambiguous transcript as completely recovered.
5. Separate a paused chat from an archived one
If the conversation opens but shows a pause notice, follow that status rather than repeating Unarchive. Expected outcome: you distinguish finding the transcript from permission to send messages.
The Chat Features safety section says a chat paused for review remains readable but cannot accept new messages. If you believe the flag is incorrect, its documented appeal is Contest This Decision on the paused-chat screen; the pause remains during review.
Read the displayed reason and appeal status. Unarchiving is not a moderation bypass, and creating a substitute thread to evade review is not part of this workflow. No approval or response deadline is promised here.
6. Stop safely when history is still missing
Stop if the account is uncertain, the archive entry is absent, restoration fails or the visible transcript has gaps. Expected outcome: a minimal support report instead of further changes to history.
The Time Travel guide says rewinding removes later messages, editing a sent message also removes subsequent turns, and resetting clears the conversation. It says confirmed Time Travel deletions cannot be undone. None is a search or restoration step.
User Settings lists support@secrets.ai. Describe your platform, approximate time, affected thread and whether it appears in Messages or Archived Chats. Include exact error wording and the single action attempted. Start without attachments; redact names and conversation content if evidence is later needed. Never send passwords, verification codes or payment secrets.
Ask support to clarify the missing entry or failed action, not to guarantee recovery. This archive route does not establish a way to retrieve deleted or rewound messages. Keep any existing local copy private and unchanged while the issue is unresolved.
Conclusion and evidence limits
Finish when the correct thread is back in Messages and its existing transcript is recognizable, or record the unresolved result. Keep locating, unarchiving and permission to continue chatting as separate checks.
All four official pages were independently read on October 29, 2026. This is documentation-based guidance, not a signed-in restoration test, payment check or guarantee about your account. Expected outcomes are reader checkpoints, not results we observed.
Frequently asked questions
Where should an unarchived Secrets AI thread reappear?
The documented destination is the main Messages list. Expand its companion group and select the intended thread. If it does not appear, report the failed action rather than treating it as restored.
Should I use Unarchive when expanding the companion group reveals my chat?
No. That is an active thread inside a collapsed group, not evidence that it was archived. Open it and inspect the existing transcript; leave unrelated archived entries alone.
Does finding my Secrets AI conversation mean I can send messages again?
Not necessarily. A moderation pause is separate from list placement. Follow the displayed pause and appeal information; finding or unarchiving a thread does not remove that restriction.
What should you compare next?
Once the answer is clear, use the relevant product reviews to compare fit, memory, media, privacy, price and cancellation terms before visiting a provider.
Sources and review note
These primary sources support the workflow or risk framing. Product features, prices and regional availability should still be checked on the official provider page before payment.
Start with an internal review so you can check fit, limits and privacy notes before an affiliate visit.
